One final reminder that my SXSW showcase will be happening at 8pm on Wednesday, March 14 at the Velveeta Room in downtown Austin! Joining me onstage are Homestuck music team bros Clark Powell and Erik Scheele as well as electronic musicians Mark Nabors and Astro Kid. I’ll be playing a mix of tracks from my solo records (Mobius Trip and Hadron Kaleido; Ithaca) as well as a couple of Homestuck-related tracks.

If you want to attend the show, you can buy tickets at the door to the Velveeta Room at 7pm. SXSW festival badge-holders and wristband-wearers will be the first to get in, so it’s important that you show up early so you have a chance to buy a ticket! If you show up in Homestuck cosplay and freak out the other guests I will be a happy, happy camper.

Thanks again to all the donors who so kindly pledged to my fundraiser - we couldn’t have done this without you. We’ll be recording the concert so hopefully there’ll be something for those unable to attend! Look out for Homestuck musicians Tyler Dever and Robert Blaker who’ll be documenting the show from the crowd and Tavia Morra who will be dancing elegantly for all to enjoy.

The bride on her wedding day. Just one of my earliest photos from a wedding I recently shot. I really like how it turned out. 

15 day old puppy: Zola, daughter of Zera. Named in the German tradition of making the first letter of the puppy’s name the same as the mother’s. Zera was brought over directly from Germany and is trained entirely in German commands. Her bloodline is among the purest of the German Shepherd breed.

Used a 60 mm macro lens. The lighting was very dim and I didn’t want to use a flash, as she had just opened her eyes the day before. Getting the blacks to show up was extremely tricky, I had to knock up the lights and exposure to bring out the blacks of the fur.
